BIKES PREFERABLE FOR LEH LADAKH TRIP

Taking about motorcycle ride to ladakh most of the time ROYAL EN-FIELD is preferable. Not only En-field, you can use other bikes also such as pulsar, Hero Honda etc.., My dear viewers always remember that it depends upon the factors that you carry for the trip.

ROYAL ENFIELD

The big engine , whether the 350 cc or 550 cc gives it an edge over all other motorcycles. The heaviest size of the motorcycle makes it easy for the luggage to carry. Good suspension and seating position makes it comfortable both for the riders and the pillion makes it for the suitable journey. The only drawback is that it has an smaller engine. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TAKE AN ROYAL ENFIELD for your ride.

BAJAJ PULSAR

Probably the most selling bikes in recent time. Be it a 220 cc, 200 cc or a 150 cc pulsar, you can confidently plan your adventure ride on it. The huge fuel tank makes it idea for long journeys and you wont have to worry about about so much. but, be aware of the seats and its position to make your journey comfortable.

HERO IMPULSE

GOOD BIKE FOR A LADAKH RIDE IF YOU ARE GOING WITHOUT A PILLION.

Dual sport tires and long travel shocks make it fun to ride on dirt tracks. Upright riding position and comfortable seating postures ensures no fatigue. Biggest drawback is the fuel tank with an average of 40-45 kmpl. under powered engine may trouble you for sometime but this happen only if the bike not maintained properly.

YAMAHA FZ AND FAZER

These would be my next most preferable bike for ladakh. it looks pretty similarly like pulsar.

KTM DUKE

pretty it looks similar to hero impulse. This is the one motorcycle which can be used to make fun on the challenging road of ladakh and it is so famous for.

CBR 250

The stock contigo tires will be a major drawback for you but if you replace it with other form of tires then you can make your trip adventurous.

These are some of the bikes which will be helpful for you trip.

THINGS TO CONSIDER DURING YOUR TRIP

Here is a list of things that you should consider during your trip:

  • Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS)
  • The breakdown in the middle of nowhere
  • Loss connection with the world
